This is the City's film office which is responsible for all location permits and street closings. They are action-oriented and great problem solvers.


Ontario Media Development Corporation – www.omdc.on.ca

This is Ontario's film commission office. Contact them regarding film financing, tax credits, crews and location scouting. Check out their on-line, digital locations library.


NABET 700 – www.nabet700.com

A union of film and television technicians that has serviced the greater Toronto area for over thirty years. NABET 700 currently has over 1,000 qualified members in fifteen departments of the film and television industry. They update, train and develop membership to meet the increasing demands of the Toronto film industry.


IATSE Local 411 – www.iatse411.ca

Represents Production Coordinators in the motion picture and television industry in the Province of Ontario. They develop training programs, provide a health and welfare trust fund, and have signed contracts with every major studio and worked on almost all motion picture and television productions shot in Toronto.


IATSE Local 667 – www.iatse667.com

Represents camera professionals and unit publicists who work in all facets of motion picture productions filmed or electronically recorded for theatrical feature films, films for television, television series, commercials, documentaries, internet productions and corporate video productions, as well as working at live events.

Represents construction, craft service, electric, grip, hair, make-up, paint, script, set dec / props / greens, sound / boom, special effects, transport and wardrobe.


IATSE Local 828 – www.iatse828.com

Local 828 represents several craftspeople and artists, including Prop Builders/Buyers, Scenic Artists and Painters in the Golden Horseshoe of Niagara, Hamilton and Toronto. Over the past decade, they have worked on hundreds of productions in theatre, ballet, opera, film, product demonstration and industrial shows.
