Testimonials
Film industry people have been telling us for years that their filmmaking experiences were enhanced by the functionality of our space and the professionalism of our people. The following are just some examples of this sentiment.
“I have been using Cinespace Film Studios for well over fifteen years, from Sidney Lumet's Critical Care to Miramax's Chicago and beyond. I have always found their facilities to be convenient, well-priced, centrally located, secure and pleasant environments in which to create films. The Mirkopoulos family has always been supportive of me and all my projects, and have continually worked to make me feel part of their large, happy Greek family. I would highly recommend their studios to any of my Los Angeles compatriots. You will not be disappointed."
- Don Carmody, Producer, Chicago
"I've been utilizing Cinespace's studio and production offices for over 20 years now. As far as I'm concerned they're the leading company in Toronto when it comes to a full service studio and production complex. They offer affordable rates, clean and well furnished offices, accommodate your production's specific needs whenever possible, and always deal with you in a prompt friendly manner. If you have a need or problem, and require the comfort of a home base studio/production complex for your production - Cinespace is the company to deal with!"
-Stephen Montgomery, Line Producer
“The understanding and love of our industry shown by Cinespace has caused me to return to Cinespace on an ongoing basis for each of my projects. Providing they are as satisfied with me as I am with them, I see no change to this in my future.”
- Marilyn Stonehouse, Producer & Partner, Pebblehut Productions
“I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Cinespace over the years. I have always been able to count on them."
- Jim Powers, Producer
“It is a pleasure to work with a company that takes care of the small budget movies in the same manner that it services the big studio pictures. Cinespace has the same vision and goals shaping the future of the film industry in Toronto as that of the independent Producers. Your staff has always been reliable to my employees in a very comforting manner; which can take some of the stress out of our day-to-day work.”
- David Till, Production Manager
“It is no coincidence that over the past seven years, the majority of my projects have been based at Cinespace. As a Cinespace customer, I know that regardless of the budget of my movie, Cinespace will always deliver on their promises without compromising on service. As an added bonus, it helps that the Principals of Cinespace are talented problem-solvers who always find a way to accommodate the varying and ever-changing needs of a production. No matter how many shows are on the lot, Cinespace makes the customer feel as if their particular movie is the number one priority over all others."
- Mathew Hart, Producer, Take the Lead
“I have had the pleasure of working in the new Cinespace facility for two pictures, and have enjoyed the best art department offices in the city. On R.E.II, we were faced with the problem of building a 120’ long, 48’ foot high church interior combining pyrotechnics and stunt rigging, which required the highest and widest clear-span soundstage we could find. Cinespace had the size as well as the accessibility, with both drive-in and loading doors for our large scenery.”
- Paul D. Austerberry, Production Designer, Resident Evil II
“Working for the first time at Cinespace’s new 50’ stage, I was impressed by its versatility. We were able to connect all our key sets together so the crew could move easily from scene to scene without stopping. We were unable to find another space in the city capable of accomplishing this. The scale of the studio allowed us to build a working elevator five floors high and an equally tall fire escape structure. These added greatly to the production and the look we wanted to achieve.”
- Andrew M. Stearn, Art Director, Dark Water
“The 30 Booth stage provided both the height and floor space we required to build the Plaza Hotel studio set for Disney’s “Eloise” movies. The overall stage height of 50’ provided us with ample and comfortable shooting space. It was great not to be required to build the sets around existing columns or dropped ceiling areas (a common problem in many studios in Toronto). We found the stage clean, well-managed, with good access and sound control. We look forward to shooting there again.”
- Tamara Deverell, Production Designer, Joshu de Cartier, Art Director, Eloise at the Plaza and Eloise at Christmastime
"In the 22 years that I've been making movies in Toronto, I have always used Cinespace facilities and will continue to do so. I consider them to be the absolute best. They are always ready, willing, and able to accommodate any and all of our needs."
- Dan Heffner, Executive Producer, SAW Franchise
"At Cinespace you're made to feel like family - from your first day of Prep through to your last day of Wrap. Nothing is impossible at Cinespace and they prove that show after show after show!"
-Jonathan Matthews, Location Manager, DGC Ontario
"Cinespace Studios has always been a considerable asset to the Toronto film community. They've created a friendly, personal and professional working partnership with film productions. They are consistently eager to help us get the job done and provide well-considered facilities and services."
