
Now in its second year, Cinespace Studios Toronto and York University Schulich School of Business have partnered to create the the Production Accounting Micro-Credential program in response to a growing demand and a specific need for production accountants in Ontario’s film and television industry.
The 6-week part-time, in-person course runs from June 26th to August 1st to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of accounting in the creative sector and provides the opportunity to enter a sustainable career in the high-demand sector. The curriculum has been designed with the Directors Guild of Canada-Ontario.
Program dates: June 26 to August 1, 2024 (Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6:30pm-9:30pm)
Fee: $3,000
- Age 18+ with interest in accounting, administration and business affairs in the film and television industry
- No prior accounting knowledge required.
- Any experience in bookkeeping, accounting and office administration will be an asset but not a requirement.
